School Accountability Committee (SAC)

SAC PURPOSE:

The SAC meets at least quarterly to discuss, advise, and make recommendations to Mr. Garcia, the school principal, regarding: school progress, assessing and prioritizing needs, school spending priorities, identifying resources, creating and editing the Laurel Unified  Improvement Plan (UIP), etc. One member of the SAC also serves as the Laurel representative to the District Advisory Board (DAB) which meets monthly from 7:00 – 9:30pm at the Johannsen Support Services Center (JSSC) at 2407 LaPorte Avenue.

SAC MEMBERSHIP:

A minimum of 7 members to include:

3 parents/legal guardians of students

1 teacher

1 PTO member

1 community member

1 principal
